Rustguard™ exterior wood screws are engineered to deliver long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion in demanding outdoor applications. Featuring an exclusive Rustguard™ coating tested to withstand over 1,800 hours of salt spray testing (ASTM B117), these screws are built for durability and performance. Manufactured from case-hardened 1018–1022 steel, Rustguard™ “TRG” and “RG” screws include self-countersinking nibs and a Type-17 point for smooth, efficient installation with no pre-drilling required in most woods. Designed to minimize splitting while providing exceptional holding power and optimal driving torque, the dull gray finish also blends naturally with most pressure-treated lumber for a clean, professional appearance.
