Western Builders Supply was organized in 1945 as a buying organization by a group of independent lumberyard owners in Montana. Built from the start around the needs of lumberyards, the company understood the importance of dependable products, practical solutions, and strong relationships in the building supply business.

As the needs of the lumberyards grew, Western Builders Supply launched its own line of screws: Big Timber Construction Fasteners.
